Connecticut SUN and UCONN team up

Season opener for the Connecticut Sun, supported by three UCONN graduates (one benched with injury) and a rival from TENN, now on our side - 1st game. Wow, fantastic. The first half was close. Both teams,Connecticut SUN vs Chicago SKY, played to win in the first half. At 2 seconds to go in the second Quarter, Kara Lawson - 20 set feet at two feet in the back court and fired a high sail for an all net three pointer in a hail of chears as the team went to the locker room! 42-33. The second half was up for grabs with the SUN edging the SKY by four points. Final for the first game of the season: 74 - 61 SUN over SKY!

Offensive Rebounding needs work

This was an exciting game. We had good seats and could really see the play. I was impressed by the sportsmanship shown by the Sun. And it was so great to see my FAVORITES up close! Earlier in the game I felt we were not taking enough opportunities to get the offensive rebounds. It almost seemed like the Sun just expected the basket being made, and started heading on down the floor. This is not a bad thing, related to confidence, but I think they could have taken the lead a lot sooner had they been more attentive to this. I saw much improvement in the second half. Renee Montgomery was awesome, and I saw the Tina Charles I love emerge as the game wore on. And of course, there was a great degree of teamwork shown, resulting in some great plays.

Sun are HOT, HOT, HOT

Being a UCONN Women's Basketball fan, I pretty much knew what to expect for a level of competition for the basketball game. The whole experience was fun. The arena is a great size and layout. so there are no bad seats. It was easy in and out of the facility. Our visit was a gift to my Mom for Mother's day. We picked a game with Diana Turassi who played for the visiting team. The game started promptly and moved right along with plenty of activity and entertainment during the breaks. In the end, it came right down to the wire and thankfully the Sun swished the last basket. 83-78 The fans went crazy and Mom loved it too.

I LOVE THE CONNECTICUTT SUN!

This was such an exciting game. It was basically anyone'sgame until the 4th quarter. I love attending these games. This was even more exciting because I was able to share it with my 90 year old mother. I only wish that I could have granted her wish to win one of the shirts that were thrown. Even though I was in a season ticket holder seat, I missed every time, however, the gentlemen next to me tried to get one for me. We are so lucky to have such opportunities for women today. I have followed the WNBA for the past 15 years.

Great WNBA experience - will come again!

This was our first visit to Mohegan Sun and our first WNBA game. The parking lot was confusing to many of us. There are VIP parking lots without signage didn't imply that they were for VIP members. Much honking and awkward backing up to find the non-VIP parking. There was a huge zigzag line to enter the arena and many fans entered after the game started. The event was sold out, but the arena was completely understaffed in regards to entering the arena and overall concessions. The Connecticut Suns v. Seattle Storm game was amazing! A very close game and it was awesome to see WNBA legend Sue Bird play. The game had so many interactive events for fans and the game itself was amazing.
